Enso Japanese Bar

I came here initially for the ramen. I had a last minute change of plans with my group. But I did try the poke bowl and a baked salmon roll. Both were great. But I do hope to return and try the ramen.

First time here and ordered the Cashu pork bun and the Hon Ramen. Both are so amazing and yummy! Its really nice and cool inside. My opinion is between Hon Ramen, O ramen and Kamisama i would say Hon Ramen is a lot better flavor wise and noodle texture. They do ask how you want the egg either cooked or runny. And the people saying the spicy ramen isnt spicy enough im sure you can ask to make it more spicer. Eother way the service was amazing and everyone so nice :)

WOW! What a great place! Owner Steve is phenomenal. He really cares about his customers and his dishes. Hon Ramen uses very high quality artisan ingredients that come out in the complex flavors created by Steve. This place is awesome and I highly recommend grabbing a bite to eat and a beer at the ramen bar.

Great location for downtown. Ambiance is cozy and chill for lunch, just to be able to escape the grind. The Garlic Ramen was very flavorful! Just the right amount of garlic, but it could have used a little bit more heat. The spicy Ramen disappointing though... it didn't have much punch when it came to spice or heat. Overall, a good experience. I'll be back.

Since I move from LA is the first time I eat dumplings so tasty I order spicy noodle it wasn’t but it was so good thank you I’ll be ordering again soon

Pretty decent ramen joint, but it might be my least favorite between O Ramen and Kamisama Ramen in town. They do have sushi, but it's just okay. The ramen was really good and flavorful. The broth was pretty thick which sets itself apart from the other ramen places in town. The inside of the restaurant looks really nice and I love their selection of beers. Don't know if I liked this place enough to come here over O ramen or Kamisama in my opinion. If you live close to this place, you can't go wrong though.

Ramen is so delicious here. Service was great. I will definitely be returning.

This is an excellent ramen noodle restaurant. I was looking for a delicious and comfortable place to enjoy a bowl of ramen and I found it here. As for the remarks from one reviewer about the noodles are top ramen noodles... couldn't be farther from the mark. Top ramen noodles just kind of fall apart in your mouth...The noodles served here are fresh egg noodles because they have a soft chewiness about them.

The best place to have ramen or sushi. Awesome service. Great place for a date.

A lot of potential...I would reduce portion size and offer a lunch special. You need to get some traffic. Food improved since my first visit...but still too expensive for a regular lunch stop.

Chashu pork ramen is DELISH DELISH DELISH!!!!Great noodles and broth highly recommended.Gyoza ( pot stickers ) were very good as well.If you're in the mood for Japanese ramen this is the place!!!

I gave the place a 4-star due to NO disabled parking location near the restaurant only(Not their falt) the food was delicious service was great staff friendly and courteous, looking forward to returning soon.

There was nothing particularly poor about any of the food or service, but there also didn't seem to be anything exceptional about Hon either. I had a bowl of spicy garlic miso ramen that was fresh and exactly as garlic flavored as the name implies, in a good way! It may just be a location issue, but the entire place was empty during prime dinner hours on a Tuesday. Worth trying out, but you'll likely find better options around town.

I had a fantastic experience in this spot. We liked the nice environment and the food. The waiters are very affable. I’m glad we eventually managed to eat here.

I sent my friends to this restaurant with my highest recommendations. I visit this place often. This recommendation is always successful. The the food there is great and the team is attentive and cooperative. Whenever we go to this place we pass a lovely evening. I recommend this place with pleasure.

Hon Ramen was pretty good. Its not my favorite Ramen restuarant but it's still pretty good. I had to bowls and both tasted great.

Awesome food, quick service, and comfortable atmosphere. Definitely plan to make this spot a regular choice. My only complaint is there needs to be more ramen options! The ones they do have are simple but delicious. I just wish there was a bit more variety to choose from.

The ramen is really good, probably the best broth in town. I just wished they offered more toppings, but can't complain to much, it's great the easy it is. Service is excellent as well.

Hon Ramen, I think it's the one best of Ramen place so far that I tried in Bakersfield. Been to few Ramen place in town and still think that this is the best one so far🍜🍜👍👍 two thumbs up for the owner a.k.a the chef, the service and mostly the ramen taste authentic. Everything I ordered, all tasteful (yakigyoza, chasu bun, spicy garlic miso ramen, spicy tonkotsu ramen) 😋😋 Highly recommend, be back soon.

The food was tasty but super poor quality. The noodles where straight from a top ramen bag!!!The veggies where from a cabbage carrot broccoli bag from foodmax!! The restaurant is nice.good atmosphere.

It's date night, so my boyfriend and I decided to try a local new place besides our usual date night spot. As soon as we walked in we're greeted with smiles and shouts of welcoming. The environment is warm, small, and private. The hostess/waitress is friendly ready to take our order. The menu was simple to read with all ingredients in each meal. So it didn't take long to choose what we wanted to eat. Pricing wasn't horrible and the portions was great and very filling. We ordered the ramen soups and it was delicious. Pork belly was cooked to perfection, not tough n rubbery. The noodles were cooked properly and the broth was nicely seasoned. The rest of thee ingredients was great as well so no complaints about that. They have a nice selection of beers and wines. Including the non-alcoholic beverages too. All and all it was a nice spot to have a quiet dinner with my loved one. I'd come back again most definitely. I recommend it to everyone, to try at least once.

Had a very nice experience at this restaurant. First time visiting here and the food was good. I ordered the Hon Ramen with an extra eggs. Noodles were good. Had goyoza and the plum wine also. Plum wine was amazing! Service was excellent.

I loved this place so much. The food was delicate and savory. I didn't have sushi there yet but my braised beef bowl was divine. Fantastic ginger dressing on the salad. You should go!

Great service and greatly pleasant atmosphere. Came here on a Friday night and my family felt very comfortable. I had a Kirin Ichiban beer and the Spicy Garlic Miso Ramen which was extremely delicious. More than what I had hoped for since after I was done I was ready to knock out. Definitely recommend this place as the Sushi was crisp and Fresh and the Ramen was hot flavorful. Made my night.

Everything about this place is awesome. Just came back from Japan and the Ramen is so close to Japan, the broth, the medium hard boiled egg... But then there's the noodles *face-palm* they are exactly 100% straight out of a Top Ramen Package. I should dock them more stars for this, but everything else is so spot on, and the service was excellent. It might take me a while to come back, unless I hear from someone that they upgrade their noodles to true Udon... Otherwise I will be hunting elsewhere for that elusive perfect Ramen outside of Japan. Does it exist?

I ordered from Hon Ramen via Uber eats due to the quarantine. I only received a portion of my full order, and am unsure if this is Uber Eat's fault or the restaurant itself... The spicy ramen was great and I'd love to leave a full five stars, but I'll have to come back to it once this is sorted out. I did put in a help order for Uber Eats.

Delicious broth, fantastically flavorful marinated pork! Would definitely recommend.. I got the Hon Ramen and am excited to try their other dishes on a future trip.They are also open a bit later (9:30pm) than many downtown spots, which is great if you need to satisfy late night cravings.
